Sephora Times Square was buzzing with Benefit's "that gal" competition today—a nationwide search for the girl who's beautiful inside and out—all in honor of the brand's new That Gal Brightening Face Primer. After their beautiful Benefit makeovers, hundreds of hopeful girls auditioned on camera, each giving a 30-second explanation about what exactly makes them "that gal". A dance teacher from Tampa who wants to inspire girls to reach for their dreams ... a big city finance girl who loves and lives beauty (left) ... an Alabamian who literally sang a "that gal jingle" about the importance of motivating young girls ... all very impressive! As we said yesterday, the prizes aren't too shabby either: A feature on EXTRA, a 1-year supply of Benefit makeup, a photo in Lucky magazine, and a talent audition with William Morris Agency. And, if you missed today's event, don't worry: The final audition stop is at Sephora Garden State Plaza tomorrow, 11-6 pm, so you can still make your big debut. —Jessica Anderson, Sephora
