L.A. FASHION WEEK: Chick by Nicky Hilton

Chick by Nicky Hilton had a home-team advantage today at Smashbox Studios, as the Smashbox makeup team was leading the beauty force backstage. Lori Taylor, Smashbox’s Professional Artistry Relations Manager, described the show’s look as very clean, fresh, and babydoll-inspired, with rosy cheeks and sheer-red, glossy lips. (A perfect fit for the super-girly collection.) For eyes, Lori covered the lid with Filter Single Eye Shadow and blended Aperture Blush into the creases. Using the Midnight Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner, she lined the top lids and outer corners of the bottom lashline, with a very precise and slightly cat-like line of definition. After applying glam lashes, she used Bionic Mascara (coming to Sephora in February!) to make the eye-batters extra bold—with extra coats on the bottom lashes. Lips were lacquered with both Spark and Starlit Lip Enhancing Gloss. And the final touch: Infrared Tint Stick—applied with a foundation brush—added a pretty punch of color to the cheeks. —Mari Tzikas, Sephora
