HOT FLASH: Neon Orange Nails

Live from the Sephora Summer Catalog Shoot: Everyone's talking about orange nails. "It's those old school California oranges and corals--from pastel to bright--that I'm seeing for a lot of the summer editorial shoots," says manicurist Olya Titova (as she painted our cover model's tips a blinding shade of orange).  Adding to the trend-alert are the goodie bags of coworkers who attended Monday's Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Male Awards. Essie created an exclusive shade for attendees, in a gorgeously bold orange-y coral.  Our opinion? Orange nails are a subtle ode to the London Nu Rave scene, and the fluorescent fashions that go with it, and the perfect "get here already, summer"  shade. Here, (modeled on yours truly) Titova used Chanel Nail Color in Orange Sorbet.  The shades we're using on our cover model and totally loving: Sephora Brand Nail Polish in Orange 60 and Sephora Brand Lacquered Nail Polish in L21 Mangue. For an ultra-dramatic look, Titova recommends popping the color with a layer of matte white polish underneath.
