Idea Submission Terms & Conditions

By submitting your idea to Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sephora”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, please do not submit your idea or any other information or materials to Sephora. By submitting your idea, you understand that Sephora and its designees can use your submission in any way they see fit without notice, attribution or compensation to you.

You must be at least 18 years old and the age of majority in your state to submit an idea.

Sephora reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. For this reason, we encourage you to review these Terms & Conditions whenever you submit an idea to Sephora.

License

You irrevocably grant to Sephora the unconditional, perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use any ideas, expression of ideas, graphics, comments, photographs or any other materials or information you submit to Sephora (collectively, the “Idea”) for any purpose whatsoever, without restriction of any kind and without any payment or other consideration of any kind, or permission or notification, to you or any third party. This license includes, without limitation, the right to reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works, combine with other works, alter, translate, distribute copies, display, transmit, perform, license the Idea, and all rights therein, in the name of Sephora or its designees, in any and all media now or hereafter known.

You represent and warrant to Sephora that, to the best of your knowledge, (1) the Idea represents your own original work, (2) you have all necessary rights to disclose the Idea to Sephora, and (3) Sephora’s use of the Idea will not infringe upon any other individual’s or entity’s rights.

You understand that Sephora may be working on the same or a similar Idea, that it may already know of such Idea from other sources, that it may have received many submissions similar or identical to your Idea, and that it may develop this (or a similar Idea) on its own or it may have taken or will take some other action in connection with this or a similar Idea.

You understand that Sephora has no obligation, either express or implied, to develop or use your Idea and that no compensation is due to you or anyone else for any use of your Idea.

You acknowledge and agree that the relationship between you and Sephora is not a confidential, fiduciary, or other special relationship. You understand that disclosure of your Idea to Sephora does not establish a confidential relationship or obligate Sephora to treat the Idea as secret or confidential.

Release

By submitting your Idea, to the extent permitted by law, you hereby release and forever discharge Sephora and its affiliates from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, expenses and demands, which you may have had, may have and/or may have in the future, of any nature whatsoever, with respect to or arising out of the submission of your Idea, including without limitation, the review or use of your Idea (or an Idea similar to your Idea) by Sephora or its designees.

Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
