I know it’s a national pehnom., but I don’t really watch Lost. I’m more of a Grey’s girl. (I’m telling you, it’s waterworks every. single. time.) But thanks to the strike, I’ve been hitting up the Biggest Loser (yeah, I can’t believe I’m saying that aloud either) and the aforementioned Lost. And in between trying to figure out what the H-E-double hockey sticks is going on, and how Charlie from Party of Five is so damn H-O-double T, I find myself cataloging a what-if-I-was-stranded-on-an-island list of products. And volia:
1. Shiseido Body Creator Aromatic Gel: I’d love to have sunscreen at the top of my list, but I’m a skin sinner, so I know the painful reality—I wouldn’t use it. What I would slather on Shiseido Body Creator Aromatic Gel. It’s got botanicals to smooth cellulite and special technology to firm the fat. And let’s face it, if I’m going to be isolated on a tropical isle, my butt had better look a lot better than it does now!
2. Rene Furterer Karite Intense Nourishing Conditioning Cream: All those days toiling in the sun and swimming in the salty ocean are bound to wreak my normally shiny (and strong) brown locks. Packed with shea oil, vitamin E and essential fatty acids, this bad boy will do some serious damage control. We’re talking restore moisture, avoid tangles and hello, shine. Bonus: The fact that it’s packaged in a big pot, totally invites double dipping as a body crème. (I mean I use it now in a pinch. And I’m pretty sure, being stranded on an island can be considered a pinch…)
3. Stella McCartney’s Stella eau du Parfum Roll On: I know this is completely impractical, but Ginger got to have all of those gowns, so why can’t this girl have her fave scent? Sometimes a little something from home is all you need to get you through another meal of coconut pies.
4. Rosebud Salve: It’s no secret that this is my go-to-du-always. Not only will it keep my lips healthy and kissable for a certain co-castaway, it also speeds healing of cuts and scrapes.
5. Bliss Clog-Dissolving Cleansing Milk: I’m in a constant battle against the blackheads. So, I can only imagine what weeks of unprotected sun exposure is going to do to my skin’s natural exfoliation process. This gentle, no-water required formulation will help get the gunk out while giving me a bit of a fresh-faced glow.
What items would you wanted stowed away if you stranded on an island?
