Product Patrol: This Week's Hottest Launches

With so many amazing new products launching this week, picking my top 5 newbies proved a daunting task. After much hemming and hawing, I chose the fabulous 5 that make up this week's Product Patrol. —Jennifer Appenrodt

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals® Get Started™: Eyes, Cheeks, Lips: B.E. is spreading the bareMinerals love to your eyes, cheeks, and lips with this addition to their Get Started collection. The eight-piece color kit is designed to perfectly complement your skintone and enhance your features. When I'm beauty shopping, I never know which colors will look best with my complexion so I love that I can find the most flattering shades in one kit. With expert brushes and custom shades to sculpt your features, and a Buxom Lip Polish for a spring-kissed pout, B.E. gets you looking lovely in one fell swoop.

Benefit Cosmetics Erase Paste: One of our beauty writers had a large blemish, a.k.a. zit, that popped up right before her big presentation. Scoping the entire floor (it’s Sephora after all!) for a product to conceal her spot o’ shame, she stumbled upon a little pink jar with the name “Erase Paste”. She wasn’t too sure about the paste, but she desperately wanted to erase, so she tried this foreign concoction for lack of a better option. As she dashed through the halls to make it to her meeting, she caught sight of her reflection in the glass door and gasped in disbelief. The blemish had vanished, and to this day, she refers to it as her “magical potion”.

Too Faced Decade of Glamour Beauty Wardrobe Makeup Collection ($195 Value) : In celebration of its decade of style, Too Faced (as promised) releases its limited-edition kit of the hottest, best-selling products over the past ten years. Open your kit, a 3-D walk-in closet, and select from your beauty wardrobe: six eyeshadows, an exclusive bronzing powder, two lipsticks, an exclusive bronzing powder, Lash Injection Mascara , Ooh La Rouge Blush Duo, Sun Bunny Bronzer Duo, Lava Gloss Eye Liner, Beauty Balm, two Gossip Glosses, Bauble Gloss, Glamour Gloss, Juicy Jewel Doublesided Gloss Stick, and Lip Injection. The name and release date is listed beneath each product so you'll be well-versed in your Too Faced history. Though the mammoth dose of beauty for a deal is fantastic ($195 value for $40!), the packaging alone is genius—just opening and closing it’s pretty pink closet doors is enough to keep me happy.

Bourjois Shimmer Shine Liquid Eye Shadow: These high gloss liquid eyeshadows pack a punch in the pigment department. The gleaming colors are completely budge- and smudge-proof, so say sayonara to mid-day creasing and fading. The 50-percent water formula provides a fresh, lightweight feel and a built-in doe-foot applicator makes application effortless. Easy, breezy, luuuuminous: Bourjois Shimmering Shine Liquid Eyeshadow.

MAKE UP FOR EVER High Definition Microfinish Powder: MUFE's High Definition Microfinish Powder makes its dazzling debut at Sephora! The HD Collection (more products to come!) uses very fine ingredients for an invisible, naturally flawless finish. It’s colorless, meaning it will work with every skintone, and can be used on even the most sensitive of skin. I credit its must-have magic to the soft, velvety finish it gives to your skin. As one beauty writer puts it, “there’s a bizarre fluffiness to it.” She means 'bizarre fluffiness' in a good way, of course.
