Dior Poison Blue, Dior's extremely limited edition shade of midnight blue nail polish, has been blogged about just about everyone (shout-outs to Bella Sugar, Fashionista, Make Her Up, among others). But, we wanted to tell you the back-story on how this fab shade of blue polish came to Sephora. Last year, we hosted an editor event to launch Dior Midnight Poison. After hearing all the details on the sensual scent, we got to preview the gorgeous ad, and everyone there--top beauty editors, Dior exec's and Sephora staffers alike--went gaga over the nail polish in on her finger tips, a lust-worthy shade of deep, inky navy blue, that looks exactly like the sky at midnight. Our expert merchants worked with Dior to bring the nail polish to Sephora, and there you have it--one of the season's most exclusive (and on trend) shades was born. Bluetiful story, isn't is?

I have been trying to get my hands on this Dior polish. I guess I will make my purchase online...it looks great!

So how does this Dior blue compare to Chanel's "Navy Satin" and OPI's "Yoga-to-get-this-blue" ? I have both of those and Chanel's Navy Satin looks black after 2 coats and OPI is the only one that actually looks blue. I'm curious before I succumb to this one.
OPIs "yoga" blue is too shiny for me. I bought "Russian Navy" instead. Chanel's limited edition blue is a great colour. I would recommend purchasing that one.
i thought this color was for fall...
i own OPI's russian navy and im skeptical whether to paint my nails or not... is it too dark for spring??
I think the navy would be completely fitting for spring, especially with all the watercolor themes going on this season. Just wear some nice, lighter complementary colors and throw the polish on to make a splash.
I agree with Megan - navy nails work for spring, especially with the pretty/edgy, art-inspired clothing. Take Prada's spring collection - it's very flowery but with a dark undercurrents. Same goes for Balenciaga. For spring nails, I think it's either super neon (oranges, pinks, or pasted brights - like Teen Vogue showed in their past 2 issues) or dark and edgy. Both give a punky edge. In fact, I'm going to run and get my nails done with Dior Blue Poison, I'll post results tonight.
This one does actually look blue, and it covers great after only one coat. It is not too dark, so it is very fresh looking. Great for spring! After coveting this shade, my husband brought it home as a surprise for me from France, and it looks even better than I had imagined.
Pretty cool place you've got here. Thank you for it. I like such themes and anything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read more soon.
