Remember theBalm's pug project? (Proceeds from theBalm To The Rescue go to saving pugs through Pug Rescue.) Here's an adorable reminder of what a huge effect this beautiful endeavor can have. This is Dawn, a little puppy who was dropped off at the shelter overnight in near-death condition, where staff found her in the morning. She had pyometria, a serious uterine infection, that led to a heart infection—very rough shape. Luckily, she was rushed to the vet for an emergency hysterectomy and, after 3 days of intensive care and heart medication, is making a full recovery.
