Tried & Tested: Fiberwig Lashes!

Although I'm a double wand devotee, I'm always up experimenting with a new lash enhancing product. I mean, who doesn't believe in the power of perfectly delicate lashes? The latest on the hit parade is the limited-edition Fiberwig Long Lash Kit by Imju ($27). The set, which comes with a cute red curler and instructional DVD, promises to "go beyond mascara! [and impart] paint-on false lashes!" That's a big statement from such a small product, so I took it to the Wheaties challenge. And what a champ this little engine is. First off, trust me when I say this: Don't let the fact that this bad boy comes with an instruction DVD intimidate you. The DVD is simply an infomercial on application techniques and the product promises—"lengthens lashes; prevents panda eyes; removes easily." You swipe the fiber-rich formula as you would any other mascara. Then the hosts suggest you give an extra application to the outside lashes using the tip. There's no clumping and absolutely zero smudging—seriously. I even wore this stuff to bed (all in the name of investigative blogging) and would you believe it—no black-rimmed eyes the next morning. As an important aside, the overall effect is less come-hither-bedroom eyes and more I-finally-caught-up-on-my-sleep awake eyes. All the same, after a week of using this, I feel like I have seen the light. -- Jenna Mahoney
