Talk about the perfect bridesmaid gifts and/or makeup for the bride's big day. Just in time for wedding season, Benefit has launched 3 new super-flattering, limited editions shades of Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner (pale pink Bunny Hop, brushed copper Marry Up, and metallic rose Pre Nup) and Silky Finish Lipstick (pearly pink I Do I Do I Do, coppery pearl Bouquet Dive and blue pink Party Crasher). We asked our resident product-reviewer and bride-to-be, Jenna Mahoney, to take 'em for a test drive.
Uber adorable, we're talking cute as a puppy/bunny/Bambi, packaging alert! As with all things Benefit, the new limited edition "Bridesmaid" Lipsticks ($16 each) and Cream Shadows/Liners ($18 each) are housed in the prettiest vintage-inspired boxes and have fun tongue-and –cheek names such as "I do I do I do," "marry up" and "pre nup." And as with all things Benefit, the formulas are totes gorg. and the colors are universally flattering. The creaseless cream shadow/liners are completely smudge- and goof-proof. There's a brushed cooper (my personal fave), a sterling pink (a lightly shimmered hue) and a metallic rose (perfect for party girl in all of us). You can use them separately or layer for your own sweet, stay-put hue. The lipsticks continue the love-in: They are so light, so creamy and so sheer, that you can build on and customize for your absolute-must-have big day shade. "bouquet dive" (the copper) and "I do, I do, I do" (the golden-pink) each have a hint of shimmer, while the "party crasher' is a silky pink. And even though, my wedding isn't until June 2009 (I know, soooo far away) I'm raiding the Sephora Benefit shop like yesterday. I plan on putting them with the vintage rhinestone pins I've been collecting as favors for my bridal brunch. Oh my god, I'm dying at how perf this is all going to be! - Jenna Mahoney
