Tried + Tested Benefit "That Gal"

I feel like this post needs a full disclosure statement: I'm obsessed with all things Benefit. And when I say this I don't mean simply obsessed, I mean that everything I own wearing the Benefit label is on my go-to list. I love love the insta-wake up look I get when I dab the corners with Eyeliner Gilded, BADgal Lash Mascara, the only single brush formula that plumps, extends and makes me feel like a smoldering sex pot, and I'm such a fan of Ooh la lift. I swear I swipe it on before I go to yoga on Sunday morning. So, it was pretty much a done deal on the love-in front when I picked up the new bright face primer called "that gal" ($27). First off, the packaging is beyond bunny rabbit cute. I love the NYC cityscape that wraps around the palm-sized tube! It is sooo Rhoda meets The Best of Everything. And even though, by all accounts I'm a city career girl, just toting around this happy tube makes me feel even more so. Inside there's a shimmering pinky primer, which is easily dispensed by a click wheel (think old-school iPod here). The silky, powdery-liquid is super sheer, so so smooth and it is surprisingly full on the coverage front. No exaggeration: I gave it a two-three click, applied the raspberry, chamomile and sweet almond formula in a few sweeping circular motions and I was set to face the world. Not to quote the packaging or anything, but it was an honest to goodness "from dull to darling" in a quick sweep. Ooh, and I almost forgot the bonus: "that gal" has a sweet and oh-so subtle berry scent. - Jenna Mahoney
