Tried + Tested: Decléor Express Facial

I was on the news this week. And no, funny people, it wasn't Cops.

I was interviewed by the super sweet anchor about trends and stuff for a whole of four minutes, which was just about as much time as I was able to prep. You see, I got the call to action at 6pm. The call time for the studio the next day was 6am, which meant I had exactly 12 hours to prepare the script, pick out an outfit and shoes (!), do something about those giant pores (God, do I hate HDTV) and oh yeah, get my beauty sleep. So anything and everything needed to be done in a snap.

Thank the heavens on high for the Decléor Express At-Home Facial, which promises to get you glowing in 20 measly minutes. The first step calls for the application of Phytopeel Natural Exfoliating Cream ($41), Sa-weet. Done. I mean hello, a cream? How idiot-proof is that? I slapped it on (avoiding the eye area, naturally) and let it dry. All the while clay-based exfoliant was degunking my fache, I was cramming for the interview. Once it dried I did the circular motion removal massage as instructed and voila! Super soft skin and I swear I looked more awake. I swiped on the optional Tonifying Lotion ($33) (I'm a sucker for anything that promises to tighten pores) and gently patted the Aromessence Neroli Comforting Concentrate ($64) across my forehead, chin and cheeks. The essential oil cocktail left my face feeling like it was ready to face the world (good thing, huh?) They give an option to place two cotton pads drenched in the new Eye Makeup Remover Gel over closed eyes as you lie down, but as I mentioned, I was on a serious time crunch and eye closing was not in the plan.

And if you are wondering how I did—well, they asked me back for another segment. Hopefully, I'll have a little more lead time…and a little more
