WE LOVE CANDY!
Dylan Lauren, the brains behind Dylan's Candy Bar, is launching Re-Treat, her first collection of candy-inspired bath and body products, exclusively at Dylan's Candy Bars and Sephora in October. "The line has been 3 years in the making," says Lauren, "as a response to client demand." The flavors and scents are based on the delicious treats sold in Dylan's Candy Bar locations in New York, East Hampton, Orlando and Houston.
Re-Treat, the name which links Lauren's sugary background with her new spa category, was created to provide a whimsical, calorie-free escape for the body and soul. Re-Treat offers up confection-inspired goodies, sweetly scented and deliciously wrapped up to resemble yummy deserts and candies. Products include Lip Saver, Body Smoothie Lotion, Candy Butter Cream, Ice Cream Sugar Scrub and Soda Pop Shower Gel, and come in 4 flavors - Coconut Bon Bon, Birthday Cake Batter, Chocolate Cupcake and Strawberry Licorice.
When asked about her fave flave, Lauren says "I'm usually not a chocolate fan, but I really love the small of our Chocolate Cupcake line. And Birthday Cake Batter smells exactly like the real deal." The scents were rigorously tested against the sweet and treats in Dylan's Candy Bar stores. And, as icing on the cake, the formulas are free of parabens, propylene glycol and sodium laurel sulfate.
We're so excited to launch this line, especially from a gal who knows her stuff: When quizzed on her favorite candy, Lauren is quick to the draw: "My favorite sweets are marshmallows, divinity and, of course Cadbury Creme Eggs," says Lauren, which she informed us is available in bar form in Europe. In fact, she loves Creme Eggs so much (and as you'll recall up above, is not a chocolate fan), she was once spotted with 5 empty chocolate egg shells on her desk! Now that's a gal who knows what she wants.

Speaking of the bangles, I bought a bunch of them a week or so ago from the NYC store and I can attest to the fact that they are even cuter in person. In fact, there's a whole line of jewelry at DCB that's really very nice and well made / good quality(necklaces, earrings, etc.).
