Nars LagunaI'm pretty darn pale, which starts to get to me this time of year. While my derm applauds my commitment to SPF, it's not fun to be pasty in summer. Nars Laguna is such a natural color, I sometimes use it alone as a blush. Or the other trick I love, which I learned from a Sephora makeup artist ,is to apply it to each side of my face like a number 3, across my forehead, on my cheekbones and along the jaw line.
Stila Smudge PotNeed a little? Need a lot? This cream eyeliner goes on both ways. For daytime, I use a skinny brush and dot it in between my lash line, for a subtly enhanced effect. Nighttime? I bring out the big brush and use it to create smoky eyes, smudging as I go. I have it in black, brown and bronze. It also can be used as an eyeshadow base—love those double duty products!
Carol's Daughter Ocean Sea Salt Body ScrubI love me a good body scrub! I indulge and use one once or twice a week, year round. I love the Carol's Daughter one because the salt is an effective exfoliator and makes my dry skin disappear. But the reason I'm truly addicted is that it's ultra moisturizing and has a delicious smell—fresh and sweet with cukes, rosemary and lavender.
L'Occitane Lavender Harvest Hand CreamI always travel with the L'Occitane hand cream. Not only is it in a plane-friendly size, the tube travels better than lotion in a bottle, so it never spills. The lavender scent is totally relaxing—just what you need after rushing to the airport to find out your plane was delayed!
I do one of two things to my hair: Go to the salon for a professional blowout or air dry it and go for the natural look. When I'm au naturel, this spray helps bring out the wave in my long, fine hair. It smells like a day at the beach—all coconut-y—so even if you're kickin' it city style you can practically hear the wave crash. Bonus: It protects color from fading in the sun.
