'Tis The Season (well, almost): Sephora's "Classic" Holiday Editor Event

Oh the weather outside was frightful....but the beauty was soooo delightful!

It was kiss-mas in July today in NYC as Sephora held our 2008 Holiday editor event. Nestled in the chicly cozy 632 on Hudson loft, exclusive holiday offerings from 21 brands were showcased under trees and sparkling, snow-strewn tables. Editors noshed on goodies and sported candy-colored bangles from Dylan's Candy Bar (see our BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, below), as they perused the premises, looking for standout products to include in their holiday stories.
Here's quick roundup of the beauty we want to deck our halls with. Stay tuned for a deep dive on each in the days to come.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Dylan's Candy Bar to launch at Sephora! Dylan Lauren was on hand for the launch of her new line of dessert-inspired body delicacies. With mouthwatering flavors like Birthday Cake Batter and Chocolate Cupcake, and delectable products like Candy Butter Cream and Ice Cream Sugar Scrub, we left with visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads. More to come in a separate post...

Dylan Lauren, creator of Dylan's Candy Bar, a new bath and body line launching at Sephora.

Urban Decay Book of Shadow: 3 words. Pop Up Book. With butterflies, roses, gorgeous shadows, liner and shadow primer. We loved this so much we almost cried.

Too Faced World Domination Tour All Access Backstage Beauty Collection: Just like the cuter-than-thou jewelry boxes we adored as kids, the lid to this jam-packed box of beauty lifts up to expose a TINY DANCER....spinning in a mirror....playing music! We CAN'T STOP. TALKING. ABOUT IT.

Nars Super Orgasm Blush: Your orgasm is about to get more intense. Nars bumped-up their bestseller with more intense gold flecks and a richly concentrated base tone.

Sephora Ultimate Blockbuster: 40% bigger than last years, at the same price ($48). Exactly 30,240 different makeup looks (we did the math!) can be created by combining the 84 shadows, 60 glosses, 6 blushes, powders and liners. Wowzas.

Stila The Talking Palette in Paint Your Pout Red: Stila takes their mega-innovation Talking Eye palette south, all the way to your pout. Now your lips won't have to do the talking, because this palette will!

Kat Von D True Romance Eye Palette in Metal Orchestra: Kat expands her white hot collection with this collection of shimmering blue and gray shadows that match her recent hair! Stay tuned for a raspberry-black lipstick, too.

ghd's NEW travel hair dryer: Their FIRST foray into the hair-drying realm!

Ojon Tawaka "The White Ball": Like the original, but appropriately snow white due to the main ingredient of white cocoa seed butter.

Nope, those aren't snowballs! They're Ojon's new Tawaka "The White Ball"!

Fresh Strawberry Flowers Eau De Parfum: Inspired by the "perfect spring morning", founder Lev Glazman created this scent to celebrate Sephora's 10th Anniversary.

ColorOn Limited Edition Eye Envy Holiday Kit: It's no secret we're obsessed: This "Tinsel Kit" is stocked with holiday party perfect shades like Mistletoe and Silver Bells.

BareEscentuals bareMinerals Extreme Glimmers: Creating a prismatic effect on the eyes, these highly pigmented colored powders impart mega watt shine and sparkle.

LaVanila Laboratories Vanilla Spice Healthy Fragrance: A new eau from the healthy scent experts, evoking holiday warmth with essential oils of nutmeg, sandalwood, cardamom and their signature Madagascar Vanilla.

Korres Color Sugar Plums: There will be visions of purple spinning in our heads thanks to this plum-tastic set, complete with plum lip butter, gloss and shadow.

Tarte The Vanity: A vintage-inspired kit & with a ginormous mirror, packed with 16 all new shadows. 16 all new lipglosses. 4 new blushes. Bronzer, mini mascara, brushes and more!
