Beauty Bacon: The New Trend In Skincare

Reuters is giving us a sneak peek at a new trend from the Diet and Beauty Fair 2008 in Tokyo.

"I could really go for a cheeseburger right now."

Behold the “Salt Studio,” which is constructed from salt tiles, then blasted with high temperatures and humidity.

Supposedly a girl walks out of SS with smooth, bloat-free skin. But it also feels like hanging out in there would be like rolling in meat tenderizer and crawling into your oven. As Diet and Beauty Fair reporter Robert Basler wrote, "For smooth skin that resembles a big old pork chop, you can’t beat it."

There's a fine line between creepy and cutting edge. So is the end in a Salt Studio result cured and beautiful...or cured like bacon?

that's somewhat creepy... you should find pictures of what people look like after they are done in it!

I would NOT get into one of these - it looks like you're crawling into a salt lick.
