Face Off: The Foundation Challenge

It turns out that my sissy (you know the one who can do a full face in a moving Winnebago with no lights on) was feeling a wee bit jalouse at the fact that BFF was getting in on the Tried + Tested parade. Since I've got a serious thing for tinted moisturizer and my sissy is such a master applicator, I gave her the foundation challenge.

Give me three to four thoughts on the new high def. formulations from Lorac and MAKE UP FOR EVER. Oh and did I mention my sister is a singer/actress/dancer…yeah…let the games begin.

Re: Face Off

Ok this was a lot harder than I thought! And I may have gone over the four-sentence deal, but I love them both. The coverage is top-notch, but super breathable, no afternoon itch you always complain about.

LORAC Natural Performance Foundation ($35)

A word to the wise on this one—getting the first drop out of this high-tech packaging is a bit of a challenge. But once I got it out, I couldn't believe it was oil-free. It's so old school with the coverage, but smoother and more consistent. Rumor has it that this has got antioxidant-power too. Any complexion improving properties get a big thumbs up in my book.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD High Definition Foundation ($40)

First thought: Wow this is really liquidy. But then, once I spread it across my face with my fancy brush it was hello! coverage. It is almost like I have new (and flawless) skin! You know me and my love for all things drag and this goes right up on the list. Can totally see Glenda and the Bunnies workin' it under those hot stage lights without a slip or a fall of runny foundation if they use this.

Jenna, I'm a tinted moisturizer girl too. I try foundations here and there, only in winter though because no matter how light and oil-free they may be I still don't care for the feeling. I always seem to drift back to my good ole Stila sheer color and illuminating tinted moisturizers. However, I might have to give that MUFE HD foundation a try come winter because I have the white looking HD microfinish powder and love it. Its amazing! You should do a tinted moisturizer face-off with all of the best ones Sephora has to offer.

Rice moisturizer is one natural moisturizers it helps protect the skin from being damaged by UVA and UVB which are the cause of melasma, freckle, and skin cancer. Because it has plentiful minerals, unsaturated fatty acid and vitamins especially the natural vitamin E which is in high quantity as Tocols (Tocopherol & Tocotrienol), Gamma-Qryzanol and Ceramide.
