The Italian Roman Catholic priest is planning the first-ever online beauty pageant for nuns.
Beginning in September, he will post photos of nuns on his website and then online voters will pick their favorite. The pictures will be accompanied with a nun's account of her life, spiritual development, the order to which she belongs, and the duties she performs, which will give voters an idea of the participant's personality.
Father Rungi says he expects roughly 1,000 nuns to take part in the online competition for "Miss Sister 2008". His goal? He's tired of nuns being thought of as old and plain and hopes his beauty pageant will prove that nuns are hot!! -Jennifer Appenrodt
