Way back in 2007, we had a beauty-full idea: What if we combed the country for the best Sephora makeup artists ever? That brilliant thought turned into our first Pro Beauty Team - 9 superstars who, after rigorous tryouts, won the right to jetset around the country representing Sephora.
So. We're doing it again! We auditioned makeup artists in 12 cities - grilling them with pretty tricky questions, testing their beauty brains, and putting their application skills to the test. Now, we've narrowed it down from 350 to 30 finalists who will compete in the final leg of the competition. 12 will be chosen for the team.

P.S. This year, we're adding an exciting new layer to the competition. After the 12 winners are chosen, we'll host a Most Voted Pro (MVP) contest on our new Facebook page. Judging from videos we'll create at the finals, Sephora fans will vote for their favorite Pro Team Member. The prize? A page in Allure, with a photo shoot at Sephora University, and a column on this here blog (yay!).

Just a note: Sephora West Edmonton is not in Calgary, Canada. It is in Edmonton, Canada. They are two separate cities.
...um...I know I haven't forgotten how to count...so where are the other six names?

i love the sephora store but when did they get a beauty team? and why did they get a beauty team? do they do the pictures in the stores?? oooh my i wouldnt let them near me. Iv been doing makeup for a little over ten years and i know the difference between tacky and classy and im sorry to be so honest but they must be tacky!! get some REAL makeup artists. your making the rest of us look bad.
