Lancôme's New Girl: Arlenis Sosa

Guess who else (besides Sephora!) is in NYC for Fashion Week? Arlenis Sosa, Lancôme's newest face.

Arlenis Sosa (who, btw, was strutting down the catwalk at BCBG while our own Mari Tzikas was backstage, getting the scoop on BCBG's runway look), comes from the Dominican Republic and has already booked mega-gigs at Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.

Plus, her "how I got discovered" story rocks: She was doing charitable work with her church on behalf of those living with diabetes when a local designer spotted her and sent her photo to a friend at the Marilyn Agency in New York. She flew to the city–her first time out of the DR–and the agency signed her on the spot.

Start watching for her to appear in Lancôme's ads in 2009.
