Spring 2009 Beauty Trends: Backstage at Doucette Duvall

BEAUTY BOTTOM-LINE: It is easy being green! 
THE LOOK: Doucette Duvall and Tarte proved to be a perfect match when their eco-friendly minds teamed up for Spring '09's fashion show! Keeping within the green theme, Tarte created two specific looks featuring variations of the shade: Look #1 - green and gold shadows paired with coral lips
Look #2 - teal blue and green eyeliner paired with pink lips
Both makeup looks are kissed with Tarte’s famed cheek stains and finished with a bright pink powder to really make the cheeks pop.

Here are a few tips I learned while watching the artists work backstage:
- When using the cheek stain, pat it on with your fingertips rather than applying directly from the stick. This way, you’ll be able to control how much color you put on and exactly where the color goes.
- For look # 2, start by lining the top lids with the darker green eyeliner, then from the middle of the eye to the outer edge, trace over with the teal blue liner to create a color graduation from dark to bright. 
- With the tip of the mascara wand push lashes in and then fan out with the brush. This makes lashes look oh-so-lush.
