Spring 2009 Beauty Trends: Backstage at Julia Clancey

SHOW: Julia Clancey
MAKEUP: Smashbox
MODEL: Lesa Amoore
BEAUTY BOTTOM LINE: Corals, from glimpse to tips.

THE LOOK: Spring 2009 fever has hit Los Angeles Fashion Week's runways--and one of the symptoms is a peachy-keen flush, as evident at the Julia Clancey show this evening. Smashbox makeup artist Lori Taylor tags this look as a "modern-day Bianca Jagger," using lots of lashes at the outer corners of the eye and a creating a bronzed, chiseled cheek. Lori gave the eyes widening dimension by using nudes to contour and line, added a pop of flamingo on the balls of the lids, and then loaded the faux lashes with mascara, just to the point of clumpiness. Lips were accented with pops of coral, as were nails, which beamed with a fruity hue straight from our exclusive Sephora by OPI collection. Note to readers: Next spring, corral all the coral you can get your brightly polished fingers on!

GET IT: Smashbox Single Eyeshadow in Flamingo and Nude, Cream Eyeliner in Midnight Brown, Bionic Mascara, Blush Rush in Paradise, Bronze Lights in Sunkissed Matte, Photo Finish Lipstick With Sila-Silk™ Technology in Alluring and Elegant, Lip Enhancing Gloss in Afterglow and Illume, and Sephora by OPI Nail Color in Special Request.
