Spring 2009 Beauty Trends: Backstage at The Green Initiative

SHOW: The Green Initiative
MAKEUP: Smashbox
MODEL: Lena from Photogenics
BEAUTY BOTTOM LINE: Monochromatic bronze from hairline to chin line.

THE LOOK: The Green Initiative's collection featured natural materials (example: a dress made of glass rings), so Smashbox made sure that the accompanying makeup look was equally as natural. To achieve this, they stuck to a bronze palette, using only faux lashes and clear gloss as extra pops. The minimal look also included a sculpted, tawny cheek and sienna lids. Together, the low-maintenance features emanated a gorgeous, everyday glow, proving it IS easy being green.

GET IT: Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer, Single Eyeshadow in Sienna and Brazilian Bronze, Fusion Soft Lights in Baked Starburst, Lip Enhancing Gloss in Crystal, and MAKE UP FOR EVER Strip False Lashes in Ref 25026.

Delicious look. That with maybe a champagne highlighter along cheekbones would be so painstakingly close to my ideal day look.
