For a last minute look for Halloween, we tapped our Product Expert at Sephora University in San Francisco who indulged us with some scary-sexy tips that you can pull together quick. Here, doing her first-ever Beauty And The Blog post, meet Jenn Shank!
"It’s that time of year again, when gusts of wind blow burgundy-amber leaves around the ankles of cheery, excited children dressed from head-to-toe in masks, capes, gowns and hats. That’s right, Halloween!!! I am still a "kid at heart" and love the joy and exhilaration of deciding what character, persona or animal I will be. And, for many who enjoy the parties that come with this haunting holiday, the thought of having to put together an elaborate costume is scary. So, here are some quick, easy, makeup tips for gorgeous or ghostly faces." - Jenn Shank, Product Expert, Sephora University
The "Scare" Necessities:
White Powder / Foundation: Sephora Brand (D05)
Black Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 (Zero)
Red Lipstick: Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (Cruella)
Mascara: Tarte (Lights, Camera, Lashes)
Blush: Make Up For Ever Blush (No. 74)
The Looks:
Storybook Princess / Hollywood Starlette (Think Snow White!):
Step 1: Apply white powder/foundation all over face (for porcelain, princess skin)
Step 2: Line eyes on upper lash line (thicker at outer corner for a dreamy gaze)
Step 3: Lots of mascara! (for ‘bat-worthy’ eyes)
Step 4: Add lots of blush to apples of cheeks (for a fantasy flush)
Step 5: Coat lips with red lipstick (for a rosy, kissable pucker)
Zombie / Vampire (Vampy Vixen ):
Step 1: Apply white powder/foundation all over face (apply very thick for a ghastly glow)
Step 2: Mix blush and eyeliner and smudge around eyes (for deep, lifeless eyes)
Step 3: Create ‘lesions’ with liner and lipstick (smudge mascara around cuts for ‘bruising’)
Step 4: Mix liner with foundation to create lip color (for colorless, rotting lips)

Where did the original vampy vixen picture go? I was going to try and recreate for tomorrow night! Please let me know where I can find it! The eyes were red and she had scratches on her face, it matched the description more than the current picture. Thanks!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm....Snow White? or Kat Von D?
Who can say who is more scary?
