As a certified gloss girl, I have to look waaay back into the beauty vault to remember the last time I wore lipstick. It was a wedding so long ago that said couple now has school-aged children with different spouses.
I sashayed across the dance floor with super SWAKable pin-up red lips with serious staying power. And the heavyweight lacquer was so long-lasting that it stayed with me well into the early morn. And, well, you can imagine the dried corners…yeah, ick.
So, safe to say when I read in WWD's Beauty Biz the other day that lipstick is the story of the season, I was totally Hiesmen-ing on that. That was until I met the coming-soon Amazing Cosmetics The Amazing Seven Collection Lipsticks, which pay homage to the 1960 screen gem "The Magnificent Seven."
The ultra-hydrating formulas go on so smoothly, even a sassy gloss girl like myself would swear she was swiping on a beloved little sheer—and light—gloss. And there's even a bit of shimmered glitter, but you've got that day-long wear of something a lot less fleeting and fancy-free.
The seven new shades all have cute movie star names of the glam-est gals around. Marilyn is a soft peachy-rose that's universally flattering. Elizabeth and Audrey are sweetly coopered pinks, which are perfect for day and night. And the sexy Sophia is a pretty plum that makes you want to pucker up.
