Just like hairpins, special-occasion makeup always finds a way to make multiple rounds on your social calendar. A girl can't have too much glitter or liquid liner, even if Halloween and the office holiday party are the only times you uncork those tubes.
But what about something really specific....like the giant tulle and satin cupcake of a dress you bought for your wedding? It's sorta only good for one occasion (unless husband #2 is very liberal and very into recycling...), right?
Today's Bride Online has an idea: Trash the dress, then take a picture. In fact, there's whole website, TrashTheDress.com, devoted to brides cavorting around in white-dress-wrecking sand, sea and mud.
Why not? It's a one-time-use-only gown and let's be honest: Your future daughter's reaction to your nuptial hand-me-down is going to be exactly the same as yours is to your mom's bridal confections.
Keep the makeup, trash the dress, and file this under: "Weird Things. That Maybe I Might Try."

This is going to sound preachy, but there are better things you can do with your wedding gown. If you don't plan to keep your gown, you may want to consider donating it to a charitable organization like 'Brides Against Breast Cancer.'
I agree with erica. I would definitely rather donate the dress, or even sell it to a resale shop. What a waste on so many levels to literally trash a wedding dress.
this is funny! I'd try it just for the wedding photo scrapbook..it certainly wouldn't be the usual.
This is stupid, i agree with kristin and erica. Wedding dresses are expensive and this just seems silly. Oh well. If its really worth it to somebody for the entertainment then let them have at it I guess.
