When working in a new office, I find myself catching everything from my co-workers—their germs, junk food habits, catchphrases, etc. About two months ago, a few of my colleagues were constantly chatting like school girls about this HOT vampire in a book they’d been reading and swearing that they were all changing their last names to Cullen. What? Vampires? Hot? How could these girls be falling so hard for a fictional character in a teen book?
Oh boy! Or should I say Oh immortal? I didn’t understand until I too caved and sunk my teeth into the series. I finished all four books in less than two months, (which is by no means a record, one co-worker finished all four in a weekend), ordered an “Edward, my fictional boyfriend” t-shirt, watched the movie trailer at least once a day (okay, maybe 10 times) and pre-ordered the office groupies’ movie tickets for opening night on November 21st.
Since I recently finished the fourth book (I can’t bring myself to read anything else quite yet), I needed to find another way to get my daily vamp fix, so I decided to search Sephora for beauty products that relate to the addictive series. Not only do we sell vamp-inspired beauty, but FIVE fanatics will have the chance to WIN ALL the products listed below by submitting a post on why they are the biggest fan of the series. Stories that best impress the Sephora staff will win. Submit your story (no more than 300 words) to beautybytes@sephora.com by Friday, November 21, 2008. Happy biting, I mean writing. And, as Edward says, be safe.
How could anyone forget one of the best lines from the series? “And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.” Gwen Stefani’s L L.A.M.B. fragrance captures what we can only imagine the odd girl in Forks to smell like—a luscious floral that bursts with sparkling freshness and wraps you in the warmth of sensual musks. Edward, smell irresistibly familiar? Oh, did I mention that the “L” in Gwen’s fragrance stands for... you guessed it, LOVE!

Cargo Lip Gloss in Bella Bella features two pink shades. I envision the main character (Bella) would wear the lighter pink when hanging out in Jake’s garage, while the darker burgundy has a sexier edge for the days she’s trying to capture Edward’s attention. When she was in her confused (and very annoying) stage, maybe Bella mixed the two colors for a rosy metallic pink? Which one should I love today? Edward or Jake? Which shade should I wear today? Pale or deep pink? The answer: both.
Fresh Twilight Freshface Glow leaves a subtle sheen that makes skin sparkle in the sunlight (in a good way) when worn as a moisturizer. It can also be used as a primer to extend the wear of makeup applied on top. You do want to dazzle, don’t cha?
Speaking of sparkling…Shu Uemura Dazzling Topaz Diamante faux lashes are the closest I’ll ever get to charming vampire eyes (unless I get bitten). The topaz crystals that sit on the lash line are sure to dazzle anyone when you wink.

There will be blood…well, bloody red lips…after using Nars Lip Gloss in Bloodwork (a red vinyl) and Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Underage Red (bright crimson). I’m imagining the color of Alice or Rosalie’s pout after a day of hunting. The Nars gloss is heavily pigmented and goes on opaque, not sheer, while the Kat Von D lipstick is expectedly pigmented, but unexpectedly moisturizing.
Although I’m sure our lady-in-waiting doesn’t go for weekly manicures, she might paint her nails with the ck Calvin Klein Splendid Glam Mini Nail Enamel Collection if she heard the names of the colors: Twilight Spell (deep shimmering violet), Phoenix (dark burgundy wine), Steele (dark silvery gray) and Pearly (white pearl).
I’m sure Rosalie with her model-like looks rocks this Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Ludwig, since it can take you from casual and natural to smoky and dramatic. It also complements brown, blue, green and topaz eyes.

OK so I keep hearing about these Twilight Vampire books or whatever they are but I haven't seen any reviews and I have no idea what they are about or why all the hype. Someone please let me in on the hype! What is all the fuss about??!!
I'll be sticking to Harry Potter. Can I not even get my beauty news now without hearing about freakin Twilight? I actually thought about reading it back in the summer just to fill the void left after the last Harry Potter book. I even bought the first book, but I got so sick of hearing about Twilight and its media overload for months now that I don't even want to read it or see the film anymore. Now its like a song that you sort of liked when you first heard it, but you heard it so many times that you just can't stand to listen to it anymore. That is how I feel when I hear or see anything about Twilight now.
However, I must say I do really like that ck Calvin Klein nail enamel set and the Fresh moisturizer/primer. I'm especially fond of the purple shade in the polish set.
I read the series last year (and again before the fourth one that came out this summer) and I love them. I am in no way obsessed like some people but they are pretty undeniable. I think they are just well written and easy to read so you get totally swept up in the story. After I read Twilight I felt like I was in a new relationshp. They're just fun.
You know on Stephenie Meyer's website she posted Midnight Sun which is Twilight from Edward's perspective. It's pretty great.
I was beyond devastated when the Harry Potter series came to an end. No more Hogwarts?! It was a frightening thought. So I heard all of the buzz about Twilight, and heard it was "the next Harry Potter...blah blah blah". I wasn't buying it. As if any boy on paper could get me as fanatical as that kid with the lightning shaped scar....Then, after reading the first Twilight book, I got hooked. I sunk my teeth into (get it? okay...nevermind) the other 3 books in the series. While Harry is still my main literary squeeze, I too now have a crush on that luminescent skinned Cullen boy! Edward is dreamy, Bella fits her name, and now J.K. Rowling finally has some competition! I'm, of course, seeing the movie when it comes out. I have been wearing vampy colored lips all month (NARS Lipstick in Viridiana with a smear of Sephora Super Shimmer Gloss in Hot Coral) and have been using Stila All Over Shimmer Powder (It's perfect for Twilight-esque skin!) for day or twilight (pun intended). I finish up the look with Too Faced Lash Injection for vampy long lashes, and I use the gray, black and silvery colors to build a shimmery smokey eye with the Pop Beauty Eye Class palette. I love the fall colors this season, they're perfect for Twilight fans, they have that...special "bite".
