Secrets From the Founder's Files: Carol's Daughter

Last week I had the pinch-me-I'm-dreaming pleasure of attending Sephora's Founder's Day event, which gave me two days of access to brand founders like Jean Ford from Benefit, Lisa Price from Carol's Daughter and Dany Sanz from MAKE UP FOR EVER. In between testing out new beauty products and getting makeovers, I picked up a few secrets to share.

FOUNDER: Lisa Price from Carol's Daughter

Cake, cookies, cinnamon, toasted almonds - ahhh! I could smell Carol's Daughter's lounge before I even saw it. Imagine being in your favorite person's kitchen while they're baking you a fresh batch of cookies and milk. That's what hanging out with Lisa Price is like.

I noticed something right away when I met her, too: Her skin is FLAWLESS! I'm taking glowing, buffed, clear, perfect Complexion City. Uh, I'll have some of that.

WATCH IT! Lisa spills her skincare secret

"I love exfoliating! It's my current obsession. My favorite is the Sweet Honey Dip Chocolate Brown Sugah Body Scrub," she said - which was immediately echoed by a chorus of OMG I love that! by about 12 other people in the room.

Her scrubs are the stuff of legend, but I wanted to know what else she used. "I use my body butters every day. I switch scents a lot, but my current fave is mango. Then I lock that in with a spritz of body oil."
Lisa whipped up a milk & rose bath treat to take home.

She treated everyone who stopped by to a take-home bottle of her Rose Bath Milk. I can't even describe how luxe this smells - but since Lisa gave us the recipe, you can whip up heaven in your own kitchen:

Ingredients: Whole milk, vodka, vanilla, cinnamon, plus a handful of rose petals.

Make it: Start with 1/2 cup of whole milk, add a generous splash of vodka, then sprinkle vanilla and cinnamon into the mix. Add the rose petals, mix together, then pour the mix into a hot bath.

I wish I could make this blog scratch n' sniff so you could smell this absolutely lush bath milk. TOTALLY worth getting creative in the kitchen.
