I would give it to my Aunt, she's one of my best friends and she needs to be reminded to take care of herself. She is so wrapped up in taking care of others and she also has a really demanding job. Needless to say she is incredibly hard on herself and she could really use a boost to remind her that she is important too! I would tell her that I love her and say that she deserves to look pretty and it isn't frivolous. I would tell her she is so dear to me and I love her so much!

I would give them to the teens in the Color Guard with my daughter. They share makeup before each game, parade or competition. My message would be a reminder that they are bright, beautiful and talented.

"Thank you for being a strong person. You finally quit that secure but boring job and go for something crazy and interesting. You cut your hair refreshingly short. You even hammered that jade bracelet which you couldn't slip off and had been bugging you for 15 years. You set your body and mind free! Thank you.

From me, to me"

I would give it to my slightly tomboy-esque best friend Dani. She is a naturally beautiful hippie, with gorgeous jet black dreads. She refuses to spend money on clothes and makeup for herself, but loves to use my things to get totally dolled up whenever she comes to visit. My message would definitely have to include instructions on how to use the product, followed by, "Damn, you look GORGEOUS! Well done!"

I would love to gift this to my mother. She has been battling breast cancer and feels "ugly" and "unwomanly" all the time. To give her a gift where I could record a message that played everytime she did her makeup that would reassure her beauty and grace, would be perfect.

I would love to give the Stila palette to my mom. She has always inspired me to be the beautiful person I am today. And that's what I would tell her. Without my mom, I'd be nothing.

I would probably give this to my mother. She rarely gets to buy make up, and she needs something new besides 2 years old of Mary Kay make up. The message would tell her to don't be afraid to try something new.

I'd give it to my best friend because I got her addicted to makeup as well. She hasn't caught onto Stila yet but maybe with this, she will.

I'd give this to my friend, to thank her for letting me stay with her for a week while I was visiting. I'd say: "Thanks for letting me feel at home while I was visiting! ... Never thought you'd get makeup that talked to you, did you?"

I would give it to my little sister. She going to boarding school, and I'm in college so we rarely see each other. She's been wanting to make varsity volleyball for a while and finally has. So I would say 'Congrats on volleyball, Elsa, see you soon & you're beautiful!"

I would give i to my 14 year old sister. She is just now learning about life and makeup. As her big sister, I need to teach her about life lessons and how to wear your makeup.:)I dont want her to repeat my mistakes of the past of trying to match your purple shirt with a heavy caked on lid of purple eyeshadow, lol. I would let her know how much i love her and how im always there for her, even though we are miles apart.

Who would I give this palette to?
My best friend in the world, "M".
I would give it to her because she is the most beautiful woman I know and because of so many distractions (retirement, the economy, staying employed) she has forgotten herself.

I long to see the friend who once upon a time remembered both her inner and outer beauty, who used cosmetics not as a mask, but as a minor accessory.

My message would be:

Hello beautiful!
Hope you are taking care of yourself. Hope you are not letting
a day pass without writing one line
of poetry and speaking of lines, use the thin brush I have added to add one to both eyes, with the darker color. Then take a picture and send it to me.

You have 10 minutes.
Love, Tiffany.

I would give this to my mom, and the message would be.. "Mom, you are beautiful even if you don't believe it. I think this would be beautiful on you, and if it helps you feel more beautiful I want you to have it. I love you!"

I would probably give it to a long-time friend of mine who is just getting into makeup. For years I have tried to tell her how amazing makeup is and how it gives you the power to transform yourself. She never listened. I don't know what encouraged her to start to try it but she is really getting into and this would be a great way to introduce her to various colors. She would probably never buy this for herself.

Aziajs said...

LOL...I forgot to mention what I would say.

"You are finally beginning to see how wonderful makeup is and how it can transform you into the best possible you or someone else entirely. Enjoy!"

I would give a card to the girls in my life - the beautiful daughter who is to become a Disney bride in January, my 81-year-old mother who still comments that she can't pick certain things from the department store because they look too "old-ladyish", my sister who is an artist, who lost her teenage daughter six years ago and deserves to doll herself up and my other sister who is still experimenting with make-up and hasn't jumped in to the fray yet! With all my love. D.

I would give it to my little sister, who's going into high school next fall and is starting to like makeup and cute clothes. We've never been close because of our age difference (I'm 7 years her elder), except for recently. Now, she often calls me for advice on the stores to shop at, and it's really cute. She's like "what stores did you shop at when you went to Hoover? (my high school). What brand shoes did you wear?". While I hope she doesn't become an exact replica of me, it's very warming to know she looks up to me in some ways.

I don't know how long of a message you can record, but if it's limited I would say "Here's a cute gift to get you started on your way to teenage-hood. If you need help applying this, you know who to go to! (Ahem, *me*!). Merry Christmas Lisa! Love you xoxo"

oh, and i forgot to mention. She's a lot lighter than me, and stila eyeshadows would look BOMB on her. She'd make all her lil school friends jealous ;]. I'm a stila girl, so I hope she becomes one too lol. wooo

You're facing the hardest obstacle in your life right now, and yet you still manage to smile brightly everyday, selflessly thinking and taking care of others. Here's a little gift, so that you can take care of yourself too. I love you Mom."

I would give this palette to my nail stylist, Jennifer. She is the only other lady I have ever met who loves Stila products as much as I do. She and I are always comparing our new products each time I go in to have my nails done or a pedicure.

Jennifer recently gave birth to her third child, a boy, at the age of 35. She is my hero for being a woman capable and strong to take care of not only her new baby boy, but her two teenage children, as well as running her own business. Somehow she always manages to look gorgeous each time I see her. :)

My message would probably be along the same lines.

"Jenn,
You are my hero. You are strong and hardworking and incredibly busy, yet you always look gorgeous. I know you don't believe you do, as you no longer have much time to spend on your makeup, but believe me - you always have that perfect glowiness that I constantly strive to achieve. And with very little success I might add. ;)

May this palette help make that time in the bathroom a little less hectic."

I will give this beautiful palette to my mother because she is beautiful and can't afford to buy new makeup so usually ends up with my seconds. My message would say "Mom, you deserve the best. You are beautiful and I love you."

I would give it to my mother. I would tell her that she has always been and continues to be my beauty inspiration. I've never known a more beautiful woman. Plus, I still blame her, to this day, for my beauty product obsession :)

I would give them to my girlfriends..Collectively we have been through all life has to offer..love,marriage,divorce,death,cancer,illness,children...you name we have been there for eachother.
Once a year we go away and just be our crazy selves..we dress up..do skits and generally blow off the steam of life.
My message would be to let them know that they are amazing ,beautiful and courageous women but TOGETHER we are unstoppable.

I would give this product to my mom. She works very hard to keep my family going but hardly ever takes time for herself. I'd love to help her update her make up and have some time to enjoy dolling herself up!

I would give this giftcard to my younger sister. She is turning 15 on November 15 so it would be a perfect gift. She is 5'11 and has always been self concious. Ever since we were kids I would do her makeup and hair and with this gift card she could finally acheive a pretty, natural look that will (hopefully) boost her confidence!! :)

I'd give it to my Mom, who has always been there for me. For the message, I would sing (badly) "Every morning I wake up, before I put on my makeup, I say a little prayer for you...forever and ever you'll stay in my heart and I will always love you forever and ever, we never will part."

TENA said...

I would love to give this to my older sister. She is a terrific mother, a hard worker, and sacrifaces so much to give everything to her children. She is beautiful and like me has a love and obsession for makeup! Thats been our common bond since we were younger and will always be. She doesn't get to buy makeup as often as me so I know this gift will make her happy .
