Finally, my hubby asked me what I want for Christmas! And of course, I coyly said, “I don’t know,” even though I already had a mental list I couldn’t wait to jot down and leave for him on the kitchen table.
My big-ticket request and #1 slot went straight to Givenchy’s Le Soin Noir.
I started using it the other day after receiving a mini sample from Givenchy, and ever since, I’ve been hooked!!! It’s super luxurious in EVERY way possible. Housed in an engraved glass cube, this black cream (yes, I said black) is beautifully fragranced, has a smooth-as-silk texture and is packed with fatty-acid-rich black algae found in the depths of the ocean.
The intense black formula vanishes mysteriously into the skin when applied and leaves it hydrated all day long—the real reason why I fell head over (high) heels. Perfect timing since lately, my everyday serum and moisturizer combo has been letting me down. Throughout the day, my skin would feel so dry, and I’d reapply moisturizer at least once or twice an afternoon. All this time I’ve been blaming the inconsistent New York weather and poor air circulation in my office. But, since I’ve been using Le Soin Noir, I’ve been feeling the complete opposite of chapped.
I know this cream’s a little pricey, but a little goes a long way. And since my sample isn’t even halfway finished, I’m sure the full-size jar will take me well into the summer. That’s if hubby decides I’ve been a good girl this year.

This sounds amazing! Thanks so much for the post. Black cream? I've definitely never seen that before, but I really do love Givenchy, so this sounds awesome.
PS. I have a new Sephora post on my blog @ http://www.scarletsletter.net/index.html#newsephora
a "little" pricey? HOLY CRAP. lol. It sounds amazing though. The color especially. Just wondering, where can I get a sample? (I'm in CA... def not close to NY)
Thanks

Geez, I don't think it's worth $360. It sounds nice though.
