Be A Recessionista: Luscious Locks For Less

As a girl with budget-savvy savoir faire (aka a Recissionista), you're mastering the art of looking fabulous for less.

Part of getting pretty for pennies is knowing where to find the deals. The other part is knowing how to max out what you got. Prime example of an ingredient that works the overtime shift for you: Citric acid.

In shampoo, citric acid does 2 things: First, it flattens hair cuticles, which bumps up the shine factor on your locks. It's also stellar at removing oil, grime, and product buildup (bonus: washing out buildup wipes your slate clean, which makes your products more effective).

Citric acid can dry hair out, so it's not a daily fix. But when used as a semi-often secret weapon, it's a 3-for-1 way to shine on and boost up your strands, while getting more bang out of your regular shampoo. Crafty.
