Beauty Newbie: Saying Goodbye To My Gloss

I am so excited for the holidays! After exploring the neutral shades of foundation, I felt inspired to focus on something fun and colorful to pair with my festive holiday celebrations. What better way to brighten up my party look than with a fresh new shade of lipstick or gloss? Plus, gloss has always been the one vibrant staple in my otherwise meager makeup collection.

I have been faithful to the same product – Nars Lip Gloss in Talitha – for seven years. When my first gloss ran out, instead of experimenting with new shades, I went out and bought not just one, but two more of the same. And although the color looks great (and I’m still sufficiently stocked up), I know in my heart it’s time to update my look.

Already addicted to her expert advice and tips, I went to visit Sara Biria again, Sephora Pro Beauty Team member. Before we met up, I had decided I wanted to choose a subtle color that would be good for my everyday look. But when Sara asked me what shade I wanted, I heard myself blurt out, “Red!”
