Eyeshadow, mascara, bronzer, concealer, lipstick, and lip gloss aside......we are very obsessed with feet around here.
No, we're not freaky foot fetishers - we just have what we'll call a healthy attention heels and the wearing of heels without falling flat on one's face.
These, I'm thinking, would not pass the without falling flat on one's face test.
These stilts from Alexander McQueen not only leave tracks not even a bounty hunter could read, but are they hiding tiny rocket launchers in the heel? Are they dual-purpose cement grinders? On the plus side, should anyone require emergency pictures to be hung on a nearby wall, these shoes double as hammers.
Antonio Berardi designed these because, "when you walk, it is almost on tiptoe. You look really dainty." Apparently coming from a man who has never actually tried walking on tiptoes. These look like props from those campy Mentos commercials, where some clever girl snaps her heel off, pops a Mentos, and manages to sashay down Madison Avenue on broken shoes. In real life, however, these wouldn't earn you anything other than a trip to ER.
I love heels...really, really love heels...but I'm sitting this trend out.
Thanks to Newbury Diaries for making my feet hurt.

I would break an ankle among other things in the first pair and the second pair? I think the men who design these shoes should have to wear them around for a week before putting them on the runway. Could you imagine trying to take a break from walking "dainty" on those things? You'd fall flat on your arse. I love a heel but this is where I draw the line :)

Just looking at those shoes makes my feet hurt.
Shoe designers are insane.
