Sepia Sets The Tone On The Catwalk

Following the trend towards a more authentic aesthetic from the past, beauty got a touch of vintage on the runway this season. Makeup artists warmed up the catwalk with washes of mocha, bronze, and burnt copper that perfectly captured the brown-tinted hue of the sepia photograph.

Looking at a sepia photo, there's no doubt its tone flatters the features: skin appears more creamy and dewy, jaw and cheeks more chiseled, and eyes shimmer with a warm smolder.

Here's how you can get this picture-perfect look:

Face:
Skin should be soft and semi-matte. Swoosh on a light dusting of mineral makeup and buff with a sheer, natural bronze.

Cheeks and Brows: Sculpted cheeks and brow bones is a must. For an extra touch of romance, trace pigment onto the cupids bow and corner of the eye.

Eyes:
Replace your smoky palette with taupes, golds, and browns. Swipe lashes with mahogany mascara, finishing with a flick of honey eye liner.
Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Beige Massai
Givenchy Prismissime Mat & Glow

Lips:
Glaze on glossy beigey-caramel lip colors.
