Skin Deep: Where The Beauty Is

In school, I had the honor of being the first girl to get an appointment with a dermatologist. Couldn't be first with a training bra or a coveted, if not parentally-supervised, date with a boy; my lot was to be first to explode into her tweens with beauty-blasting blemishes that would be my little red pals for the next decade. And that's when mom catapulted me into womanhood by introducing me to the dermatologist. So grown-up! And yet...not the adolescent experience I was dreaming of.

Needless to say, I've never been one to get a lot of (ok, or any) complexion-related compliments. Which makes the last 3 months so shocking. It's been 3 months since I've started using the Clarisonic Skincare Brush and in a word, YES. You will see a difference - but even more tellingly, others will see a difference.
"You've got such clear skin," and "You're really glowing" are comments that still make me look around to see if someone with airbrushed skin is standing right behind me. And yet I'll never get tired of saying, "Oh! You mean me!"

I am sooo wanting one of these. I've had my eye on them all winter. Definitely on my "want it" list.

I need to find one of these contraptions. Recently, I had some botox injections, and it has made a world of difference on my face. The thing is, I want to find some sort of gaget where I can do my own facials at home. I found another good reference at

So far, I haven't found anyone who can tell me how the Clarisonic differs/is better than other powered face brushes. I have a very similar, battery-powered brush that I bought at Sally Beauty Supply--but it was $30.

Hello Michelle!

I can answer that - the Clarisonic is the only brush that uses sonic technology, which means it's engineered to not pull or brush your skin beyond skin's natural elasticity.

Secondly, the bristles on the brush are a patented shape - rounded ends and soft, so they won't tear or rough up your skin.

Honestly, I used to have Neutrogena's drugstore brush, and that's definitely a decent, good skin brush...but I didn't notice the difference I did with Clarisonic.
