For those of you who are legally old enough to responsibly enjoy an adult beverage...
Happy Friday, everyone! What better way to ring in the weekend than with another Mocktail flavor and its matching recipe? This week's special: Spiced Cider.
In the gloss: It's a sheer copper shade (pictured third from the right) flecked with sparkle that smells and tastes of apples and yummy spices.
In the glass:
1 quart apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
Zest of 1 lemon
1 cup dark rum, optional
Thinly sliced apples for garnish
Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Pour the apple cider into a large saucepan. Add cinnamon sticks and lemon zest. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and strain. Add dark rum. Serve it warm in coffee mugs and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick. (Recipe is from the Food Network. Thanks!)
More Mocktail recipes to come! (See last week's here.)
Remember: SLICK liberally and SIP responsibly!
