Be A Recessionista: Double Duty Beauty

Yay!  It's 2009!  Boo!  We're still having an economic crisis!

This state of affairs has a long way to go before I breakup with makeup (some of us will stop eating before we do that), but investing in penny-pinching double duty beauty products is mos. def. appreciated.

Hey, even the good people at The New York Times are doing it.  Here are a few of their fave money-saving products:

Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Body and Bath Oil functions as a bath, body or massage oil. Rub a drop between palms and run it through hair for maximum shine.

Korres Natural Products Body Water works as a toner, a hydrating mist and a light fragrance. Spritz on hair or clothes to eradicate static electricity, too.

Twilight Freshface Glow by Fresh brightens and evens skin tone, concealing pores and small blemishes. Use alone for a natural glow or as a makeup primer. A dab can make shoulders gleam and tired knees look younger.

Posie Tint by Benefit adds a hint of pink to cheeks, lips, temples and décolletage. Rub into toenails to make them look rosier; smooth onto the back of hands for a youthful flush.

Too bad most of this stuff costs more than I'd be willing to spend in the first place...
