Eye Studio Look: Barely There Makeup

Sephora stores in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and New York City have a new feature: The Eye Studio.

Think of it like an in-store classroom that's all about eyes - drop by and get a free lesson on applying false lashes, creating a smoky eye, doing barely-there makeup, or even just learn how to play up your eye color.

After a lesson, if you like your look, you can even pick up ready-made kits containing everything you need, plus a colorful cue card to help walk you through the look at home.

The Eye Studios are now at San Francisco's Powell Street store, inside the Venetian in Vegas, and at Times Square in New York. No appointment needed - just pop on by for a free lesson!

Of course, if you're outside those metro hot zones, that leaves you sans poppin' peepers, so resident Eye Studio artist TyRess from the Powell Street is dishing up digital makeovers all this week.

Today's Lesson: No Makeup Makeup

Step One: Start With Eye Brightener
Apply to dark circles, inner corner of eyes and below the brow bone.  Gently blend with a synthetic brush.

Step Two: Add Creamy Natural Shadow
Apply sheer shadow to upper lids from lash line to brow bone, concentrating most of your color from lash line to the crease.  Use your fingers to blend.

Step Three: Add Brown Liner
To create the illusion of a thicker, fuller lash line, gently work liner in between lashes from inner to outer corner.

Finish with a very light coat of mascara (brown works best - it's more natural), and you're done!

Tomorrow: The Smoky Eye - and believe me, TyRess has some of the best tips ever for making this happen at home.
