Yesterday we scooped about Sephora's new Eye Studio in select stores. But if you can't make it to Vegas, New York, or San Francisco, Eye Studio artist TyRess is dishing out digital makeovers.
Today's Lesson: Smoky Eye
Just 3 steps to a smoky eye? TyRess says yes! "This look is easier than you think; it's all about blending and layering, blending and layering."
Step One: Start With Black Cream Eyeliner
Use a stiff brush to apply liner thickly to your upper lash lines (the liner should go halfway up your lid). Then line the inside lower lash lines (keep liner under eye thin); then feather the liner up and out at the outer corner of eyes. By starting with a black base, you give the smoky eye more pigment.
Pro pick: Stila Smudge Pot
Step Two: Top With Bronze Shadow
Use a small brush to apply shadow on top of your black cream liner. Softly blend it into your lid and crease, and buff away and harsh edges. "Don't swipe your shadow on; gently pat it into your lids with your brush. It's easier, and you'll get a better blended effect."
Pro pick: Smashbox shadow in Rapture
Step Three: Add Champagne Shimmer
Apply lightly to the crease, brow bone, and inner corners of your eyes to catch the light and add a bit of sparkle. Finish with a coat of black mascara.
Pro pick: Bare Escentuals Glimmer in Queen Phyllis
Remember: "It's not going to look neat until you're done, so don't worry about mess until you're finished!" cautions TyRess. To clean up, just apply a thick coat of moisturizer under your eye, then wipe off."

Tomorrow: Cat Eyes

Is the picture supposed to be of a smokey eye? It looks like it's the same picture as yesterday.
The girl pictured is TyRess, our virtual smoky eye teacher - the pic at the bottom is the smoky eye she showed me how to create.
Why do you promote a "ho" look instead of real beauty?
TyRess really help me out by showing me that the smoky eye is easy to apply..........she rocks :)
