FASHION WEEK: Givenchy for Brian Reyes

SHOW: Brian Reyes

MAKEUP: Nicolas Degennes for Givenchy

MODEL: Yana, DNA

BEAUTY BOTTOM-LINE: Beige makeup that's not plain-ol'-beige

THE LOOK: The main focus was to increase the look of the eyes. When Nicolas Degennes spoke with designer Brian Reyes, he mentioned a marbleized fabric, which Nicolas used for his inspiration. He started by rimming the inner eyes a really dark black kajal pencil and at the outer corners, worked with brown, black and khaki shadows. “It’s a mix of three or four colors to get that marble effect on the eyes,” explained Nicolas. Skin was kept natural and clean with a light dust of powder on the t-zone and a touch of shine on the cheek. Lips were a rosy beige, but more on the beige side than pink.

Interesting look - not sure I'm a fan, but this is a great look to draw all the attention to the eyes :)

Givenchy's new Magic Kajal Pencil is the bee's knees. Nicolas told me I would love this liner and he wasn't lying. What sets it apart is the glossy, almost wet finish. It tends to travel, so I swipe some powder underneath my bottom lashes to keep it in place...otherwise, there's not a negative thing I could say about the liner. It really is magic.

I love the combination of Givenchy and Brian Reyes. Brian Reyes has fabulous designs and the look of Givenchy is always classic.

I have to agree that this combination was a great decision. Givenchy's work fit perfectly with Brian's collection and managed to enhance these already beautiful pieces.

the model looks like she's 50 years old, she is too white on her face and the skin look too flat. Im surprised. This look definitely miss something.

The black kajal pencil and shadows gives an smokey appeal to her eyes. I always love eye shadows, especially the blue one.
