Buh-Bye, Tattoos: Kat Von D Makes Her Ink Disappear

Last week, we blogged and Twittered about our time with Kat Von D at Sephora's photo shoot (recap: She is just as gorgeous and approachable in person as she appears on TV). But after she finished creating looks with her new fall palette, she decided it was time for a little experimentation. The test: What would Kat Von D look like without tattoos?

Using her very own Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer, she went from inked:

...to unmarked:

We followed up the concealer with a little bit of blending and bronzer, and when we were done, so were Kat's tats. Her response: "I feel so normal!"

It makes her look so much younger, wow.

Might be worth investing in to cover small tattoos for weddings and stuff like that, as long as it comes in other colors/could be matched better.

Kat looks cute with or without her tats! Her concealer looks like it really works, but I just hope there are a lot of options that will blend/matched better!

There's definitely a bit of blending required after you apply the concealer - these are post-apply, pre-blend (and unretouched! No Photoshop magic here!) pics. Kat even surprised herself!

Wow, that is some hardcore concealer!

She looks hot! Not just sexy-hot, but really warm, so it's hard to tell if the concealer is blending well with her skin tone--her skin is all red like she's too hot. But she looks great otherwise.

That is truly amazing.

I'm confused...are you people not seeing the blotchiness that I am? She looks like she has a very unfortunate skin disease. Not good!

OH MY GOD, SHE LOOKS UGLY BOTH WAYS!!!

she looks so pretty without them!

How many gallons did you need? Many people would disagree on this being a concealer worth while for tats - and purchase it simply for under eyes.

That looks SO BAD! Blotchy, yellow and fake. Yuck.

wow! she does look younger! It would prob look better if it was blended and color matched. But she looks GREAT w/o all that ink

The blotchiness is where her real skin tone shows. The product hadn't been blended yet. She is a beautiful woman with or without tattoos.

you do realize they put the concealer in spots where the tats actually were. Thats the blotchiness you are seeing. It's just skin that has not been covered. Otherwise it would look flawless.

WHATS NEXT? KAT VON D AIR BRUSH COVER UP. Just give me a piece of the idea. hahah cool!

It's just concealer, the point is to COVER the tattoos then you put bronzer over top to blend it to your skin tone. concealer isn't to blend, its to cover, or conceal.

The last photo is not the end result. She did a photo shoot.

The "blotches" are her normal skin color. Where there isn't a tatoo. They covered the tats with a lighter pigment. She doesn't have tats on her chest and that area of the stomach. Duh people. It's not blotchy, it's a suntan with no makeup on her natural skin.

Duh.

She is more than lovelier without those tattoos all over her body. The concealer looks like she was just wearing a skin tone body fit. It's amazing though, and I'll buy my own pack.

She looks normal indeed. Would still prefer seeing her with her nice tattoos..

Looking more innocent without tattoos but still beautiful with it.
