3 Trends I Hate - And You Should Too

Nancy taught Sarah about the rule of three in The Craft, and yesterday, the fashion world dedicated itself to supporting this theory. Between 9:37 am and 3:54 pm, I had viewed no fewer than three trends that should be stopped in their tracks as a public service.

Crime #1: Scrunchies

If you read this blog even semi-regularly, you know how I feel about scrunchies. They are wrong. And so is a campaign to make them seem cool again.

Crime # 2: Leaking Liner

Leaking liner is not to be confused with undereye liner; I've recently noticed a lot of girls pulling off liner on their lower, but not their top lids (are you one of them? Send me a pic!). Liner that drips past your undereye concealer, tho? Girl, please. Get some Q-tips and clean that up.

Crime #3: Right Trend, Wrong Season

Every gal has a bad day, and I'm sure that applies to mannequins, too. So maybe no one told Aggy that dark lips are great for fall....but hardly the look of summer.

Agree? Disagree? Or where there even more hideous trends I missed yesterday?

I like wearing dark lips all year. But not wayy too dark. Nude doesnt look good on my lips since they're pigmented.

I don't know if anyone noticed but the model posing for the scrunchies. Are they aware the bathing suit looking at the bottom portion seems a little rated R?!!! Gross they need another photographer

I was noticing a woman on the bus in front of me this morning wearing a scrunchie. Ew. I wore those when they were in style when I was young but they were ugly then and I hope they don’t come back now. By the looks of that woman though, she wasn’t doing it to fit in with the current style.

I still wear scrunchies at nite and just lounging around the house because they're the only thing that doesn't get caught in my curly hair. it's true they're ugly, but sometimes they're just the better option (as long as you don't start wearing them out to dinner or anything)

I couldn't agree more about the photo of the scrunchies girl... that little bottom portion I noticed more than the stupid Scrunchies. She needed to put her leg down just a little so we didn't see that part.

I love being able to pull off only having to do under the eye eyeliner. My upper lasshes are long enough, you can't see my eyeliner if I have any on anyways, so it's an awesome time saver.

I'm not sure if I could pull off only under eye eyeliner, but I will say that I always do two colors. I usually do black on the bottom and then a fun color on the top (pink, blue, glitter, whatever). I feel that color all the way around is too much color and black all the way around is boring.

I saw ads for scrunchies in American Apparel and I was shocked that they were trying to bring it back! As for Aggy, she would definitely look better with nude lipstick, especially with that hair! The leaky liner is the biggest issue for me, as much as I hate them, it always seems inevitable! ...Until I swab the undereye region with makeup remover!
