Glitz Up Your Lids: Adding That Gleam In Your Eye

Several months ago, Sephora PRO Beauty Member Sara Biria showed up at a photo shoot with the most dazzling purple glitter liner I'd ever laid eyes on. After months of serious eyenvy, I finally booked an appointment at the 5th Avenue Sephora store to upgrade my gaze - and was sure to take careful notes.

Sara first lined my eyes top and halfway across bottom with MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Eyes eyeliner in Turquoise. Next, to light up my lids, she mixed two shades of Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Air Guitar (blue) and Baked (gold). To keep it more in the hint of glitz realm rather than spangle overboard, she only added glitter from the inner corner of my eye to the middle, leaving the out corner untouched.

The result? It's official: I'm a member of the Glitterati.

Does anyone have experience with a lash conditioner? I read this article about it: http://marvelousgirl.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/dont-let-your-eyelashes-show-your-age/

It's suppose to grow lashes in 2 weeks. I wonder if it works.

I love it! Great idea to mix the two colors, it definitely adds more interest and lessens the risk of tacky factor that always comes with glitter! I wonder if there are flattering glitter colors for different eye colors, just there are with shadows/liners. I hope the look wasn't too hard to wash off!

Is this glitter liner suggested if sb has sensitive skin around the eye?

Hi,

Not really my style. Am I getting older?

Maybe it will look good on some, but it is really not for me.

If you have REALLY sensitive eyes, I can't say I'd recommend it. But my eyes kinda get itchy around a lot of things, and Urban Decay's glitter line wears just fine.

Re: Savannah question

...Hi there, I've been using the Fusion Beauty's Stimulash conditioner and it definitely does work. I'm not sure if it worked as fast as two weeks, but I did see that at the 3 or 4 week mark, my lashes seemed a bit longer. As well, it grew lashes on my bottom lash-line where a few fell out and never grew back. But Stimulash worked, and the lashes on the bottom, outer corner, did grow back!

I have to say, it doesn't produce the results like Lilash and Jan Marini, where the lashes come out super, super thick and long, but Stimulash did grow them out to a nice natural growth and look.

Would recommend. Here's a link to my blog. I need to post a progress photo, but here's a look at the start:
