Tried + Tested: Josie Maran's Bronzing Argan Oil

So the autumn season is officially here--summer whizzed by with the blink of an eye; no more half days at the office, it's 6pm and the sky tells you it's practically time for bed. Gone are the days of the exquisite feeling of the sizzling sun beating down on you as you lazily rocked in the hammock, a chilled Corona in tow-- and simultaneously, the (safe) tan you were acquiring is just the icing on the cake. Sigh. Now that fall has made its arrival, you can feel yourself slowly getting paler and pastier. Double sigh.

But mercifully, a supermodel showed me the way to keep that summer glow, even when the sun has decided to take a sabbatical. And that model is organic gorgeous glamour gal Josie Maran and her Bronzing Argan Oil. You know some gals say they can't leave the house without curling their eyelashes, or dabbing their pout with a lip gloss? For me, I can't leave the apartment without applying Bronzing Argan Oil. I don't care if I miss the 7:40am bus and am late to work (again) or that my stomach is growling and begging me to eat that bowl of cereal before I leave the house, if time is -a -tickin', I will choose putting on her rich and shimmery product.

When I had the pleasure of meeting Josie again this summer, she generously gave me a bottle and little did i know what I would be in store for......'coz here's the rub: Ladies & gentlemen, yours truly is turning the milestone "Dirty Thirty" next year. There, I said it. And you know what? I'm embracing it, actually looking forward to it. Since slathering on her Bronzing Argan Oil, I have been showered with compliments regarding my skin and complexion. (Would I be too immodest if I told you it was practically daily?) and I owe it all to Josie Maran.

Let me give you the lowdown on argan oil:
Argan oil has numerous virtues and is from Morocco and has been used by Moroccan women for centuries to restore skin, hair and nails. It's rare and special and highly effective. It protects against oxidation which is the cause of skin aging and will maintain your skin's resilience, smoothness & radiance. This oil from the Moroccan tree quenches dryness & helps fill in lines. And although the texture is rich and creamy, it holds promise for oily skin(it's true: In one study, applying argan oil reduced sebum production). Josie's product not only delivers all of this, but the bronzing element has blessed me with that radiant dewy, golden glow. The product sinks in your skin very quickly and gives you a coveted shimmery complexion. I've even deliberately omitted the step of foundation and powder, opting for that more natural, healthy and youthful look that her Bronzing Argan Oil delivers. ---remember, don't mask, but enhance! And enhance it does. Enhance the inner 20 year old in my skin---- that and a golden tan all year round.

And yes, I still get carded, get asked if I attend SF State by college students, and once in a blue moon, get hit on by someone who would get in trouble with the law if I dated him. And I just smirk - who knew the act of adding Josie Maran's Bronzing Argan Oil to my morning ritual would result in all this??? I think instead of calling it the "Dirty Thirty" I'm gonna call it the "Flirty Thirty". ;)

I ♥ "Flirty Thirty." I, too, will be hitting my *ahem* thirty next year. In fact, I only have a few months until that D-day. Thirty is definitely the new twenty.

I didn't really spend my summer days this year bronzing my skin. I contaminated myself with poison ivy that last for weeks maybe months. I had to take three dose pack and a shot to rid off the poison ivy. I ended up with a scar on my neck and arm pits. For now, I can hide it with fall and winter clothes, sweaters and scarves. I wouldn't wish what I went through to anyone.

Bronzing Argan Oil would be great to try after a miserable summer. It sounds wonderful and contains magical powers that transforms skin.

This fantastic news. I love mixing Josie's original Argan Oil with my foundation for extra dewiness, but the bronzing bonus sounds simply divine. Thank you!

I am a huge fan of Kaeline's argan oil. There are a lot of choices including the 100% organic pure argan oil, and some awesome Hammam products worth checking out. I don't even have to drive to get mine. For $1, Amazon will ship as much as you want right to your home or office. I am *ahem* officially over the hill but argan oil sure makes me look younger than my half century on this planet.

I've tried this argan product, but my favorite is Jebel's Pure Argan Oil. It's the best to cure sunburn after a long day at the beach. My sunburn is gone the next day, when I use Jebel right after sun. With other products, it takes a few days. Try it here:

I have been using argan oil for quite some time. It works wonders and I too use it on multiple things. My favorite argan oil product is kaeline, here's a link to it.

A friend of mine bought me some argan oil from morocco a few months ago and I love it! I just have a few questions though – I currently use it once a week at night – is that enough or should I use it every night? Also, I read somewhere that you are supposed to keep it in the fridge. Is that true? Finally, when using it in your hair, do you wash it out afterwards or just use a few drops on wet hair and leave it to dry in? Thanks!
