Moms everywhere can do some cartwheels, because new research finally proves what they've said all along: smoking and tanning are no bueno. A new study in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery compared 186 identical twins who, despite their doppelganger DNA, had drastically different life habits. Case in point: Susan (right) baked in the sun and smoked almost two packs a day for a decade—Jeanne didn't, and today looks undeniably younger for it. The researchers even calculated that every 10 years of smoking earns you about 2.5 years on your face. Sooo what does that spell? Ditch the cigarettes and put that high-grade sunscreen to work, stat. Your skin will thank you later.

There's no doubt that Jeanne's skin is in better condition than Susan's, but (is it just me?) doesn't Susan look happier than Jeanne? (lol)
Can you please do a Lindsay Lohan side by side comparison to Susan's?
Susan DEFINITELY looks happier!
Wow, big difference! Jeanne's skin looks much better and she looks younger overall. I never smoked and every since I was little, my parents always made me wear sunscreen. I'm now almost 38 and people think I'm in my mid 20's. Thanks mom and dad (and my suncreen!)!! :)
Rachel Zoe says she is 38 (waaay too much sun and cigarettes)
IMO, she looks older than Susan
They look like they are making the exact same face to me- one does not look any happier than the other. Susan looks sickly.
omgosh thats soo crazy! im glad ive been using suncreen forever, and have never smoked :)
The people who think Susan looks 'happier' are probably life-long sunbathers and/or smokers. How happy do you ladies think Susan is going to be to see the side-by-side comparison? Not to mention that this is all over America on tv and it was also in a magazine.
I didn't think twins could look that different! I definitely do NOT want any skin damage... shudders... I don't smoke and I try to wear sunscreen when I remember.
