Woo-hoo, I'm up next! Wow, 2009 is almost over. There have been some great beauty launches this year, and not-so-new products I've tried for the first time this year too, so it's gonna be tough narrowing it down to just a few. Here goes:
Tanda Regenerate Anti-Aging Starter KitI actually bought this set at the end of 2008, but I really didn't start using it regularly till this year. It feels odd to say this, but light therapy really does make a difference. And I especially love that it's a topical, but in a different way, because it's a light opposed to a cream. Basically, the red light is for antiaging and it gives me a brightening effect. The blue is for breakouts which I use a week out of the month. If I stop using it, I notice my skin starts to look dull and uneven. It's almost like having your own personal sun therapy right in your own bathroom! I see results in just 3 days a week.
Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing EssenceHaving fought oily skin my whole life up until recently, I still can't stand seeing the slightest oily sheen on my face, I don't care how dry my face gets. In the morning, I usually skip a heavy moisturizer so it doesn't double-grease me when I use my liquid foundation on top, so I use this incredible hydrating water instead. It's like, over a 100 years old, and one of Shiseido's oldest products. It's a moisturizing water that feels almost like a toner, and it dries clean, no slickness whatsoever. You just splash it on with your hands (kinda like a guys aftershave) and your skin just feels hydrated, the pores are tight, and ready for foundation.
When the Temptu folks came out to show us their stuff, I was (of course) salivating instantly over their fabulous airbrush machine. But since I couldn't fork out the cash for it just yet, I tried this little wonder to get a feel for Temptu's foundation texture. Let me tell you, I was so blown away by the amazing coverage that I am still hooked. The applicator is the best part since I love to "dab" on my foundation sparingly, and the finish is this airbrushed, soft-focus quality. You never look too made up. Oh, and it's also perfect for travel.
Hourglass Superficial Lash
I've always been a fan of Hourglass foundation, powders, and their killer glosses. This year, I ventured out into their eye makeup category and fell in love with their one and only mascara. I have super-short lashes. I don't know if it's the length of the wand or the skinny, Christmas tree shape of the brush, but it really helps define even my shortest lashes on the bottom. It even holds up against smudging. Amazing. I have a mini in my purse, and a full-size in my bathroom drawer at all times.

Ok Jess, TAG! You're it!
