Blog Tag: Mari's 2009 Favorites

Us Sephora Beauty Editors are playing a little game of blog tag! Over the next week, each of us will reveal our favorite product launches of 2009. I'm kicking things off with my personal list of this year's greatest hits.

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash
Best brush ever! Longest lashes ever! When I wear this mascara, I have to wear my glasses a little lower on the bridge of my nose so my fringe won't hit the frames. (Tough life, I know.) The comb extends my lashes like never before and keeps the formula from clumping up. The mascara itself is really silky and washes off with ease. (I dislike having to scrub my lashes.) So far, I've gotten one of my co-workers and two of my best friends addicted, too. Are you next?

Living Proof No Frizz Straight Making Styling Cream
I became very familiar with this product after creating the store window messaging this summer--and watching a handful of my co-workers get their hair defrizzed for the shoot. I've been using it ever since. The bonus for me is that it coats the hair with weightless molecules that not only defy frizz, but also repel oil and dirt. As a result, my blowout lasts more than a day.

Korres Basil Lemon Showergel
Back in May, I blogged about the new Korres packaging and scents when they first launched. I'm still enjoying my bottle of Basil Lemon showergel--that's how big they are. The pump design is a million times better than the hard-to-squeeze, flip-top bottles from before. And the gorgeous, graphic labels (in English, French, and Greek) give me good reason to work on my pronunciation every morning.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal
For Halloween, I dressed up at Cleopatra. This creamy metallic shadow made my look. Using copper as a base color, I lacquered my entire lids with it, using my fingers and a synthetic brush. The color stayed vibrant all night--and solicited many compliments. I'm looking forward to wearing my black-and-copper New Years Eve dress so I can break out this pot o' gold for round two.

Stella McCartney STELLANUDE
This is the first fragrance I've asked for since I was 16 and in love with Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey (still am). It's currently on my Christmas list. The combination of the light rose aroma and blush-pink bottle totally reels me in. It's soft, sexy, and feminine--three traits that will forever be in style.

Here's to more awesome new products in 2010!

Tag Nicole, you're it!
