A few weeks back, a dear friend and I were chatting beauty on my couch. I gave her a sampling of some shadows and a liquid foundation that was a tinge too light for me. But when I offered her a new fragrance, she gave me the “thanks, but no thanks” look. And informed me that she’s got a signature scent. Her daily-go-to happens to be Burberry Brit, a light musky mix with a peony top note. I’ll admit that I have it in my arsenal (I tend to reach for it during transitional seasons) and winter tends to welcome LAVANILLA Pure Vanilla, a grown-up version of the roller ball hippie-feeling scent I wore throughout college.I also often sing the praises of Tocca Stella Solid, a yummy, yet sophisticated, orange that it du riguer in my carry-on, since I’m always toting the solid. But if someone were to ask me if I have a signature scent I’d say: You bet’cha. It is Stella McCartney Stella and it’s sweet smelling sister, Stella Sheer in summer. And I stash the lotion and the roller ball at my desk. I love the heady rose and the intoxicating way it lingers on my skin. And I tend to overdo it so much that I’ve been called out on more than one occasion. Am I alone in my monogamy? Or do you girls love a single scent too? Or are you a butterfly that likes to flit to different fragrances? --Jenna Mahoney

stella is my signature scent, too! i've been in love with it ever since i got it as a sample from a sephora order. i have the roll-on and a full size bottle. i always get so many compliments on it, too!
All versions o Stella - I love StellaNude at the moment, but switch them all around (I miss my Stella InTwo).
My signature scent is LAMB by Gwen Stefani. I <3 it!
I've got a drawer full of fragrances that I use to varying degrees, but my go-to (back in the '90s since the month it was launched) is Hermes 24, rue Faubourg. Just works on me for some reason. And it's the one that guys most often notice (in a good way); recently, a male colleague sitting next to me at a meeting said, "Wow, you smell great" and then blushed bright red.
Vera Wang original the best sultry smell ever

i love trying new stuff, including new scents. at any given time i own about 10 different full-size bottles, and about a drawer full of samples. for traveling, i usually just toss a handful of those samples in my bag... doesn't mean i don't have faves i come back to over and over again, of course!
I am so lucky to have a mother who worked in Fragrances at Macy's. I got fragrance for just about every occasion. My dresser looks like my very own fragrance counter now. Unfortunately for me, she retired 2years ago. My signature scent was chosen for me. I never fail to get compliments every time I wear Obsession. So, that's the one I choose most often.
I have Burberry Brit and Stella in my perfume collection too. I recently added Chanel No 5 Eau Premier and Cashmere Mist to the mix. I wear a different perfume almost every day and I choose according to my mood. Maybe I just haven't found my signature?
My go-to was a Paris Hilton scent...it works year round, for every occasion. But just a few weeks ago, I was at a friend's house and she had two brand new bottles saying it was her fav. Hmph! Now I'm on the hunt for a new scent.
A while back my signature scent was Tarte's perfume that was discontined back in 2005 I think. Now I wear Burberry London as my go to scent, but it still doesn't compare to Tarte.
I used to have many different perfumes until I landed on Dior's Midnight Poison. I haven't worn anything else since finding my "signature scent."
I like to pick scents based on my mood and the time of year. I can't commit to just one perfume!
My go-to scent for 2009 was Burberry London; recently I returned to EL Knowing (dear me! How mainstream!) via a gift from DH. It is the one fragrance on which I consistently get compliments - I just wish I could find some bath products that would compliment the scent since Lauder has discontinued them.
for stacey who used to use tarte....I just tried kim kardashian's new scent and (though it's been a while) it reminds me a lot of tarte, which I also loved.
