So I haven't been totally under a rock when it comes to Sephora news, and I knew these were coming, but whoa. I couldn't conceal my excitement when I saw a Sephora vending machine live in the flesh at my hometown mall, Valley Fair in San Jose. People must've thought I was a nut taking photos of it, not to mention my hubby, who walked away pretending not to know me. Ha! Anyway, here are a couple snapshots of what it looks like and what's inside. Has anyone had any Sephora vending machine sightings? If so, where? Are you stoked, and if so, what beauty essentials would you want to see in them?

We have a Sephora Vending Machine inside our JCPenney's near Jamestown, NY. The closest Sephora is an hour and half away in Buffalo, so it's nice to see some of the products more accessible. Don't recall anything specific because it was a breeze-by while frantically finishing xmas shopping.
That is so cool! I'd heard these were coming out but I doubt I'll be seeing them around here. I'd love to see one in person though. :D
That is awesome!!
I saw it at Valley Fair too! I was so tempted to take a picture of it (:
Wow! THey have some really nice set in them too! I thought it might be kind of basic stuff.
I saw one at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Mn last weekend. I was with my dad though and he'd just been in Sephora with me so I didn't get but one glance at it cause I didn't want to drive him crazy.
I actually saw this exact one a couple of days ago! We were just there. ... a vending machine? Kind of interesting, haha.
looks like they have more kits/sets rather than individual items..it'd be nice to have single items like mascara, make up brushes or travel sized hair products =D
will purchases from these vending machines automatically update on our beauty insiders account?
At the Houston airport
We have one now in the JcPenney's in the Foothills Mall in Maryville, TN. Small town fabulous!
Check out this post. The locations of the airport machines are listed there.

It is very interestingly written, to the author thanks.
Does anyone know if there is a way to do a search on where they are?
Sorry, but I just found out the machine doesn't have the capability yet to update points on your Beauty Insiders account. :(
Nicole, but you could probably call CS and have them added, like you have to when you purchase items from a JCPenny Sephora. Right?
There is one on the first floor of the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. There's also a full store in the mall, so I don't really see the need, but it was still cool to see one for the first time.
I saw another in the Houston, TX, airport. Like you, I documented both run-ins with photos. :)
Oh my gosh! We could use at LEAST one of these in SD. The closest Sephora to me is 4 hours away! Eek!
How coool!
Wow this is great! I've seen the Best Buy vending machines, but I believe these are much more useful (=
Am I the only one that feels that this cheapens the products/Sephora Brand name? Buying beauty products from a vending machine just seems cold and detached. If you know exactly what you want, and they have it, I guess it's convenient, but what if you need help/need to read about the products? Call me old-fashioned but I prefer to purchase in-store or online.
Hey all, 1UP is correct. I just confirmed with a Beauty Insider rep that if you save your receipt and call customer service, they can add your points to your BI account. Woo-hoo! Just be ready with a receipt number, total, etc. I am gonna test it out! After writing this post I wanna take a look in it again and see what's all in there. I forgot to check if it carried fragrances or glosses!
I was in Dallas and while on a three hour layover, my husband and I were exploring the airport. We found one of these nifty vending machines. I think they're great and convenient, despite the lack of communication.
What's odd is that there is one of these in the Mall of Louisiana *and* there is a Sephora store at the mall. Overkill.
there's a real Sephora store inside valley fair too, so why the vending machine as well? easy of purchase?
I love this!! I'd use it :)
OMG I want one in my mall! The closest sephora is 2 hours away! Who do I have to bribe to get one in Eau Claire WI??
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! Please, please, please Sephora, look into placing one of these in Anchorage Alaska!! We don't have a Sephora store here and me and my friends would LOVE to have one!!!!!! A vending machine would just bring us that closer to uniting with the rest of the U.S.!!!!!
I think it's kind of funny. I live in San Jose and I noticed the Sephora vending machine as well in Valley Fair, but there is an actual Sephora store in the same mall, so I think it is kind of ridiculous. The store is just on the 1st floor and the vending machine is on the upper level. I think it's a great idea for places that do not have a sephora store to have their vending machine instead (but the products are limited). I remember seeing a vending machine in that same mall for mark.(Avon) products before and thought that was a good idea since there are no avon or mark. stores..
Just my opinion ;)
I saw them at Valley fair! but the Sephora store was just a few steps under it! haha
Wow, this is cool. I have seen Apple product vending machine, but skincare and makeup without having to deal with salespeople and crowds
I haven't seen this machines yet. It would be so cool if the machines had a barcode scanner for our VIP cards!
This is an awesome tool if your area doesn't have a Sephora. It's really convenient!
I am beyond excited! Genius!!!
I want one in every airport. I always forget to pack something.

BRILLIANT~as someone who travels ALL THE TIME and is always forgetting something crucial, this is true beauty greatness. I want one in my living room.

There's a Sephora Vending Machine in the Jetblue terminal(T5) at JFK.
I was surprised and happy to see it :)
