My mom is 85, but I remember back when I was a kid and she & my dad would get dressed up to go out. Dad was a farmer so glamour was more about clean and mended clothing than anything else. But my mother would always make sure she had on her "pop beads" (does anybody remember those?) and her bright red lipstick!

i can remember watching my mother get ready for "date night" with my father when i was a child... everything she used, from the powder puff on her dresser to her favorite chanel no 5, intrigued me, and made me think she was so glamorous and special. years later, she still uses chanel no 5, and is still that beautiful woman in my eyes.
My mom is glamorous because she never fails to put her children and family first. After I graduated from college and needed a place for 6 months, she put a bed in the corner of her bedroom in her small apartment and divided ¼ of the room with a wardrobe and bookcase just for me. Finding my own place wasn’t an option for her, I think she knew these days would only last for so long—until I was ready to move on to my next adventure. Her space is my space and she cooks dinner for me everyday—SPOILS me. My mom is a rockstar.

Well, my mom is glamorous because at nearly 60 (she's turning 60 in August!), she's hip and looks a decade & a half younger! She exercises daily (which is 7 times a week more than I do!) by running and has dance lessons 3-4 nights a week.
My mom is always classy, and she's taught me the value of a little bit of glamour every day. She instilled in me to never leave the house without earrings (it still give me anxiety to this day) and the importance of a good scent. My mom has moved around because of my dads job so many times, and some of my friends call her superwoman, because she can pack, cook, clean like a pro! And while she does it she ALWAYS does it in style. She actually buys me my clothes because I trust her with choices. Her fashion sense is amazing. She did my makeup for prom and everyone thought a professional did it! My mom is glamorous not just because of the way she puts herself out there, but because she cares about everyone first. Everyone comes before her, even my boyfriend and our puppy. As long as I've lived (18 years) I've never seen her act selfishly, ever. And I say this from the bottom of my heart. My mom is so fantastic! She was born into an extremely poor family, they lived out of a bus and a truck for a good part of her young life. I look at all the things I have and how I've been blessed learning from her and becoming like her in my "younger" years and my children have their own room and their own beds and crib and closets full of clothes. I have been blessed because she taught me to be strong, to love people and to stay dedicated and patient with my imperfect husband. "All men are imperfect. We have to teach them how to treat us but we need to take care of them better than their mothers did!" she always told me. I have three children and have been with my husband now 10 years because of her. She taught me to be frugal and thankful instead of spoiled. Being poor for so long and being so good to me growing up, she deserves the world and she deserves the best. She's worked my whole life and since my dad got hurt and is not working, she's been the only one working for the last 4 years. The same job for 28 years! She's dedicated, loving, kind, and patient. Every friend, male or female I've ever had calls her mom, even still to this day. She's cared, loved and taken care of all of them like they were her own. She was hit by a drunk driver and he almost killed her. She had to have her nose fixed and her forehead sanded (OUCH) for months until most of the damage was gone. her eyelids were almost cut off and she still has scars on them and on her nose. The plastic surgeon should have done more. But my mom is beautiful and everyone says so. She's gorgeous (I need to pay for her to see another surgeon to get her eyelids and nose done again!) I would love to do that for her! She's always told me even though the damage is here, you do your best and try to cover it a little with makeup but if you treat people right you will be beautiful to everyone.
